Welcome back!
I was working on a new post for this week but, as I got deeper into it, I realized it needed to be a bigger project than I could complete in a week, entailing some research and at least a few posts’ worth of material. Lord willing, I’ll get that project outlined, written, and ready for posting, but realistically it will take a few months. Currently, Substack is a hobby for me, and my time available for developing it is limited.
In the meantime, I didn’t have a Reading Journal post for you this week, so I’m sharing another post from last year with you. I hope you find it helpful and a good reminder.

About a month ago, we were finishing up our garden planting and spreading some mulch to try to defend against weeds. While I was glad to be getting it done, we’d let several projects land on the last few days before we left for a road trip, and I was beginning to wonder if we’d get them all done.
